Hello Everybody.. I'm new to the DIO world and thanks for having me here..
I had just a few questions about some suspension and brake upgrades for my Elite..
1)Whats a good size rear shock and whats a good brand?
2)Are there also A/M shocks I can buy for the stock fork? It looks like I can unbolt them off and on I may be wrong.
3)I was intrested in doing a front disc brake, are there any conversion kits out there? I heard about using a Ruck front fork but IDK what this swap entails.
4)Last, I was looking for some stylish/ lightweight wheels... Any body know what rims fit, and what has to be modified in order for them to fit?
Thankyou in advance for all the help and guidance, and Im sorry if all the stuff Im asking is

stuff

Aww man.. Changing the rim, converting to disc, and using a modified ruck fork all sounds good but I think thats a little more pricey than I want to spend. Plus I want to stay the bolt on route (for now) so maybe Ill just get the slotted brakes and some A/M shocks and cal my suspension and brakes done. Any reccomendations for front fork shock upgrades?

I can try it out on the 99 later today, I think it may be a little short but hope for the best. The offset would be nice for the 90/90.

Those front end disc setups look bad * but it might be over kill, I just need to slow down a corsa build...
Those YSK front shocks I am weary about.. Only 30 bucks?? I wonder how long they will last. I see they measure 8 7/8 in. wich is a common size of rear shock for alot of scooters, so would any 8-7/8 scooter shock fit the bill?
Graphite9, that NCY shock looks good. That seems to be the same style that everyone runs.. Can I fit a 3.5-10 tire on the rear with that shock? Thats my main concern, tire clearance.

That shock has an offset that will allow you to run what ever size you want, the case interference will be the limiting factor. I'm running the low down model on a 01 jog and its a great shock.

I'll order a rear, but not until I know it fits. Need to make sure it'll clear the case and a Metro wheel with a 90/90-10 tire.

A 90/90 tire will easily clear it if that's the size you're worried about. A 10 x 3.5 is a little taller and some may be even too tall and will hit the case under expansion from high speeds. The 90/90 while 1mm wider is shorter.
90/90x10 is 90mm wide and 90% of the width is the height which is 81mm or near. 3.5 x 10 is 89mm wide and 89mm tall.

I may try for a 100/90-10 in that case. I want to go as wide as I can on the rear to help me keep that rear end planted in the turns. I guess those YSK's will have to do for now for the fronts... For 30 buck per set, I can burn through those every couple of months and be ok with it.
Graphite9 never fear, I like what your doing and I made up my mind to make SSS my sole supplier for DIO performance parts. Im the one who bought the red/white taillight recently, I enjoy helping out the "little guy".

I have always run Michelin S1's 90/90-10's front and rear on my Jog.
I was thinking about a 100/90 because I was thinking that metric size might give me the width I want without being too tall. I have always run S1's but Im also intrested in Conti Zippys, and Pirelli SL26's
