What does it cost to rebuild an AF16E motor?

My oil pump failed and the motor seized up in my Elite 50SR
I fear a full engine rebuild is in order

Can you guys give me an idea what it will cost to rebuild it - including rod bearing replacement?

It all depends on how much you want to spend there are so many different kits for that motor its mind blowing. From stock to ridiculous speed. It all comes down to what you need and want. It may be a good time to upgrade the bore to a bigger bore. Quick bolt on and re jet and you'd be on your way. I bet graphite9 has what you need to get up and running again. And he will have it at a great price too. You may find a good quality big bore kit that might be of better quality than the stock one was for a better price. Be sure to get an oil pump plug while your ordering parts. Then run premix and forget the pump.

I am adding the rebuild to my winter project list.
1st thing is to get the cylinder off & see what damage there is.
