Variator?
Outer diameter of the malossi for ruckus that fits dio is 97mm. Polini 94. Ramp angles maybe different, but I dont know if fine tuners could distinguish the difference. Keli is around 90mm

Thank you. If I didnt already have a alu drive face coming from g9 I would certainly buy that.

So basically using the Alu one just makes things lighter right? That and the clutch bell are about the thing on the motor I haven't changed yet. How much does it help?

The effects are very small. Individual you won't feel, but all things together have an impact. Cases flowed, lighter parts, port and matching.....

I just need one that will fit on my malossi crankshaft without play

Greetings:

The larger diameter of the front pulley increases the belt-controlled "gearing", like a bigger front sprocket on a bicycle will be harder to pedal, but in theory capable of higher top speed. Like a bicycle, the actual realization of that higher speed depends on the horsepower available from the engine. (or Pedal-Pusher). You can gear things up to the moon, but if the power isn't there, it won't go any faster. In fact sometimes it goes the other way.

Polini for DIO/AF16-18 is up 3.5mm from stock (87.5mm, methinks) at 91mm. Polini for Ruckus is 94mm, but you have to shave the crankcase at the starter housing to clear the bigger circle. Malossi-for-Ruckus is 97mm, so you have to shave a bit more. Both Polini and Malossi are great quality, trouble-free and long-lasting parts. The cheaper Keli worked for me just fine, but I don't know if they make one in the bigger "for-Ruckus" diameters.
