af 16 over heating
I have a af16 with a polini 72 cc bb. 26 mm polini carb and delta clutch with a scorpion pipe and it over heats on semi long rides and sometimes on short rides. Need some help it's * me off.

Sounds like you need to go over the thing and maybe do some more tuning. I would look at the the jetting and make sure the intake isn't leaking. Does it have the cylinder shrouds in place? How about the crank seals, were they replaced recently? Its a drag to have issues when you want to rip on your scoot and it won't cooperate. -

you will need to know what throttle position is it overheating
0-1/4 ,,,1/4-1/2,,,1/2-3/4,,,3/4-full
read this link below a lot of good info on how to dial in your carb
it will take some time to get it right
and once you think you have it down
the weather changes colder hotter and humidity
all make a difference in jetting

If you are running the CT manifold, it might be worth a look to be sure the rubber boot which connects the carburetor is not split apart. It usually happens at the top between the two clamps. Also, the polini pwk carbs which have the oil injection nipple, the rubber cap becomes slightly loose due to fuel residue which makes them another possible leak location. So check closely and let us know what you find.

Start it up, Spray carb cleaner all over the cylinder base gasket, head gasket, and intake/carb area, just not on the air filter, and see if any change in idle. If a change in idle then you have an air leak.

How do you keep the o ring in place while assembling the head?

My oring on my MHR head fit nice and snug in the groove when installing for the first time. I don't think you would want to use any sealants to hold it as they could cause a gap.

You should use just a touch of high temp grease or saliva. Easiest way to do it.
