any body got any tips on tuning this pipe... replacing my pg short to run this pipe... on my 72 corsa mini stroke 28mm carb.. Any help will be appreciated

U have close to the same setup as me..try 3 gram weights or around that weight..they need to be light ,that pipe loves the revs

You can consider the stiffest possible Contra spring to keep the weights moderate, like 30 grams or so. South is right. Corsa party doesn't start until 9K. Gutless below that.

going that light wouldnt it hurt the top end? I tried 7 grams a total of 42 and bottom end feels good but my tach is only reading 10100 right now at highest. with my pg short the highest was 9800... So I should try go lighter to make it rev higher? whats a good rpm I should reach and I thought going lighter will reduce top end? But this pipe is different and I can say bike is totally different with it.. I got 52 slow and 138 main but feel that I could get away with a 140.. so Im putting that in. should I try 39 grams or even lower?

Higher rpm you go bigger main jet you need. Sometimes you will need to adjust the carb needle height to accommodate a larger main and still have good throttle response.
The corsa can stand 12k+ rpm runs with ease. Just be sure to watch your Temps when you go over 11k rpms. Down south dio has had the same set up as yours so listen to his advice.

It's all in the tune of the cvt you can't say going lighter automatically takes away from top end. Mid 10k rpm is pretty solid but a little lighter rollers can prolly get you to 11k when in turn with the right gearing means you will go faster technically at least

You would think it would hurt your top end ..but it doesnt..if you are using a 72 scorp on a mini stroker corsa..with 7.4 gears and 28mm carb like you said,you deffinitly will like how it feels with those weights or somewhere in that range of weight.i used a stock clutch,still do..with stock springs..had that setup you are talking about for 5 years..still have it,only thing different now is i use a sparrow pipe..scorp did give more top speed than the pipe im currently using..i just love the all around performance and sound of the sparrow., and how it opens the corsa up at real low rpms..good luck,you will know when she is running right,,may take a few packs of rollers

Thank you so much for helping me out... I am now at 6 grams and wow... bike totally feels different now. Rev is up to 10950... got my pilot at 52 and my main at 140... did I mention I weigh 225 pounds lol..

so down south when you were using the scorpion you were at 3 gram weights. thats about 18 grams total. it must of been screaming .. At 6 grams 36, it feels really good. Im going to try to run this for a few days and see how it feels.. I got 1500 contra and 3000 clutch spring. Has a lot of take off speed and mid. Havent have a chance to hold it open I think my neighbors might be coming a little upset lol...

Hard to believe but yea bro..once again this is with stock clutch..stock springs,ive always wanted nice cruising and torque mid thru high rpms and that setup did it for me..remember those are very tall gears,and like i said that pipe just wants high rpms to rev, and yea man it screamed ,those pipes are sick,i sold mine to bakaracer.

quick question? what temps were you running when you had the scorpion? Thats actually around what my temps were..380 would be on the throttle for a good bit..against the wind you know.

Hey bro... I got an email back from scooter alley and they said they are getting a shipment of sparrows in 6 to 8 weeks.... should I keep my scorpion or should I buy the sparrow? I think they are asking 395... I think thats kind of pricey what do you think? Is it worth the coin for it? Will it be a better exhaust then my scorpion?
