Signals not working.

Just bought an 86/87 80cc Elite, got a great deal, with the only downside being that the signals weren't working. I am pretty sure that the bulbs are fine, as all of the signals don't work, besides the break lights. From my cursory research it seems like the problem would be pointed to the flasher relay, or a low battery charge/voltage. Since flash relays are inexpensive, I explored that route first, unfortunately, I can't seem to find where this thing is, here is a picture with the front panel off and where, at least according to how i read the schematics, I thought it should of been: Image

Is it supposed to attach to those two free leads? The connections don't seem like they would attach to a flasher relay input. Am I just way off for which panel to take off to uncover it?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

Flasher is in the mid-upper right of the pic. Black cylindrical object w/gold colored top. I doubt that is your issue. Test battery output first......then light bulbs/connections......look for corrosion also.

I have seen them blinker relays go out. It actually is kinda common. Use a 12v light tester to test for current. If you got current going to the flasher then you know the relay is bad. You can always refer to the manual also.

Went for the obvious and easy fixes, replacing the flasher relay and the battery. Did not amend the problem. So I guess now I need to run a current test and examine the wiring?

Also, is their a circuit break algorithm at work here? Ie if one of the lights is out, the entire system(of the turn signals, including the dashboard) are out?
