Stuck Drain Plug on Elite ch80
Hey guys, wanted to give my 87 ch80 an oil change, but the previous owner seems to have to over-torqued the drain plug and I can't even seem to budge. Any suggestion to get this guy to open?
Re: Stuck Drain Plug on Elite ch80
Once upon a time, my girlfriend decided to change the oil in her Elite 80.
The plug requires an Allen wrench.
She had a poor selection of sizes, but proceeded to apply a wrench that was almost right.
With the blink of an eye, she had succeeded in rounding out all six possible points of contact within that plug.
A quick phone call to the boyfriend (me)...and I was on the way to the rescue.
The final solution was a chisel and hammer to turn the plug.
I hope you don't have to resort to this drastic measure.
Use a breaker-bar and an Allen socket of the correct dimension and good luck...
