Hey Guys i need some help with a problem. I bought a spree in bad shape and im trying to fix it up for my neice. I have it looking brand new but my problem is with the engine. When i got this spree i put a little gas in the carb and it started so i thought it would run. I put new rings in it cleaned the carb
new belt, and decarbanized the muffler.

Now i tryed to start the engine and it starts but dont idle very good. I give it gas to take off and it dont have very much power but gets me up 15mph at half throttle. If i give it more throttle the engine bogs and stalls. I thought it might be the carb so i took one off a running spree and put that on but same problem. I have replace the regulater, coil, cdi, spark plug, air filter, put 2 different mufflers on it and got a new carb from Greg. It getting plenty of gas
but nothing has fixed the problem. Any ideas from you guys would be greatly
appreciated.

My Spree had a similar problem. I found some one had cut a hole in the air filter cover. I repaired the hole and made sure the filter cover or top was on securely and not leaking. This solved the horrible flat spot at 15 MPH and got me up to 30+ MPH. Chuk

your might have tryed to clean it, but it might have been an iowa, and the fiberglass inside might have melted and clogged it
