Not a good answer, but I *think* I remember that this is a decent midrange pipe, but by no means a "race" pipe. I think that 1man8scoots might have some info on it.

Greetings:

I called it my Hot Surfaces pipe because of the Lawyer Labelling. Anyone who can't anticipate that an exhaust pipe will be dangerously hot shouldn't be operating a motor vehicle. Or scissors. As South said, it peaks around 9K with great torque and near-stock noise levels. It's a good choice for Sport City riding, and durable.

9k is pushing the power ceiling. The 28mm is for 50mm low revving bores, the 26mm is for 72cc low revvers, 30mm is for mini stroker 86cc+ low revvers. They don't fall apart as bad or quickly as a pg. They make a lot of grunt down low then taper off after 8k.

So the 28mm is for the bores smaller than 72cc? And the 26mm is for 72cc-85cc?

Oh i c. Thanks I think I got to grab the 26mm cause I have the 28mm on my 72cc and my top speed so far has been 56mph. Wonder if I put on the 26mm it will make a difference on my top speed.

Try changing your gear ratio.

Solid advice there. Top speed is relative to power vs rpm and gearing. If the 26mm gives you more rpms then you will gain speed.

graphite9 wrote:i would say good pipe for stock bore, or cast. THe contessa seems like more of an aggressive bore vs the cast. You may rev to 9k with that pipe, but I bet your going to see peak power at 6-7500, then losing power 8k, hitting 9k if your lucky. Don't expect high rpm's or power, that being said its probably a great fit for mild builds, and low noise levels.
which pipe would you recommend using that would be able to rev and something that isn't too loud.
