1985 Honda Aero 50 (NB50) kick start

Post by stevendd »

Hey guys,

I have a 1985 NB50 (Aero 50), and it is the one year that they did not come with a kick start. Do you guys know if a 1986 CVT cover & kick start assembly would bolt onto the 1985?

And also does anyone have one for sale that I could buy? I'd love to have a backup kick on my scoot, don't like relying on just battery power!

I'm located in Vancouver, BC, Canada by the way :)

Thanks

Steven

Greetings:

Tons of '85s have been upgraded to kix. You need the whole cover assembly PLUS the outer drive face sheave, which on '86-87 feature six little nubs to engage the turrets on the kicker assembly spindle. Yours is probably smooth. People pretty much have to be scrapping or parting out an AF05 for the parts to become available. They were kind of pricey new,if they can be found at all.
