How fast can a AERO Nb50 go after fully derestricting at the cdi, variator, and or exhaust on the stock bore?

How fast can the NB50 go fully derestricted on 63cc big bore with race exhaust?

These are two different questions in one to guess the general aim of scooting on aeroa.

Greetings:

Stock speed of a healthy Aero is around 40. None of the vintage's U.S. 50cc models had any engine management restriction. Only later International Market Dios are reported to have an RPM and/or speed limiter. Don't waste money on an "unrestricted" aftermarket ECM unless you're looking for more-favorable timing curves from Malossi or Polini units. The clones from Asia are less reliable and confer no performance advantage over stock.
As far as I know the 3 years of Aero 50 never had variator restrictions either, but it is common practice to remove the o-ringed cover, clean up all the grease and run the variator weights dry. The SE50 model sold alongside the Aero DID come as a SE50P model which was restricted to 25 or 30 MPH, depending on State laws, but I don't believe there was a "P-model" Aero. SE50 speeds were comparable to Aero, as was that of the 1988-1993 SA50 Elite, which shared the Aero and SE50's AF05E variated engine.

The Malossi and Polini 47mm cylinders take displacement to 65cc, and there's a 47mm/63cc cylinder out there as well. Top speed doesn't increase very much, but acceleration is considerably better. Add an exhaust, which raises RPM ceiling and 45-50 is possible. Malossi 2:1 primary gears and a bigger carb gets an Aero to nearly 60 with all the above goodies, albeit at a pretty big cost in acceleration.

Where can I find new gears for a 1985 Aero NB50? Are they the the same ones as the dio?

Greetings:

Gears for Aero are scarce, and the ones for the AF16 blocks are totally different. Malossi made a 16:32 primary set, but the 7.83; 1 is very slow off the line. They can work with heavy mods,
