I'm just going to throw this out there

Would any of you guys be interested in a drive face holding tool? I want to see what kind of pricing a CNC shop can give us if we get say... 5-10+ interested in this

Thanks

I use a cordless impact gun to get mine off, so never had a problem holding drive face or getting nut off, so personally no interest, not sure what others think...

Harbor freight locking oil filter wrench. Opens just wide enough.

That's a good tool to have if it is easy to use and not expensive. Personally, I don't believe in using "power tools" to install nuts and bolts on aluminum, or expensive engine parts. Removing them is one thing but risking damage is not worth the time saved. Good job Ben. I'm down for finding out how much it would actually cost.

It looks like a good idea, but the cost would be a big deciding factor for me.

I have no clue how your design works...
If those teeth are supposed to engage the fins in the variator, not liking that idea.

If your going to make something like that put a handle on it and probably half circle of teeth. Then you don't have to bolt the tool to the case you just hold the special wrench in one hand and your ratchet in the other.
