Spree Fuel Tank Relocate

I'm taking my Spree apart and swapping in an af16 and started thinking about relocating the fuel tank, not sure where. I was curious to see if anyone else had done such a thing? What I was planning was actually getting a slightly larger tank and then cutting the top out of the old tank to creat a small secure under seat storage area.
Thanks for any and all input.

Hi. what I was thinking is to swap out the spree tank, and put the larger aero 50 tank.

you may have to delete the oil tank?

Take a look at the link.

With 24oko carb, I've been getting about 15+ miles per spree tank. @ WOT = Good. But I ordered a 26mm Polini carb from graphite9 so I think I may need to install the aero tank?

If what you say is true, something is horribly wrong with your scooter.

Greetings:
I agree that 30MPG is low, but maybe not totally off the chart for a smoke-spewing balls-out modded engine. A lot of that gasoline is sprayed out the tailpipe unless tuning is spot-on.
Ped, my experience with the Polini version of the OKO carb was an IMPROVEMENT in fuel consumption. The Polinis seem to use scary-small jets, perhaps thanks to a more efficient atomization process or who the funk knows? Anyway, I think even with the bigger 26 Polini, you should get better mileage. Fitting an Aero tank, which if memory serves is the attachment point for the saddle, may be challenging to get the Spree to look right.

But if you can get that tank on and figure out if you have an air leak that is requiring such a fat jet to keep you right. I would look into your jetting first with the new carb first and make sure you don't have unmetered air leaning out you causing you to upjet and drink major fuels. 30mpg is really low, I have been told by the guys on facebook that I should see around 70mpg or so on my bbk with the 21mm oko. you shouldn't be half that or lower.

Hi forum. My apologies. That was not a very good estimate. I'll have to use the GPS and report back..
