So, I got the spreedio all together today and I tried forever to get it to start. Sprayed a little starter fluid and it cranked right up and died.

The bowl is filling with fuel and I have cleaned the carb. Still no luck.

Stock carb running a new 90cc kit from chopchop.
I dont have a compression tester but everything is new so expect it to be good. Like I said though, it will run for a few seconds on starter fluid. Im thinking the carb is gummed up but I tried cleaning it already.

First of all don't use starting fluid, especially on a brand new bore. Use 32:1 premix so you don't wash the oil off of the engine internals. Now try choking the carb by hand when cranking and see If you get fuel or If it starts. I start a new setup like that by choking by hand and if it starts ill vary how much I choke it to see how much richer I need to be. I have a feeling you need to turn the idle air screw in A lot to richen the starting and idle Or the the feed from the float bowel form the starting enrichment is clogged. From getting it to run on the stating fluid you know that all you need is for the carb to supply the the right amount fuel and off you go

Thanks. I didn't realize that was bad to do. When you say choke it by hand, are you talking about just twisting the throttle? Sorry I came from a gy6 so this is relatively new to me.

(Choke the carb) him means pull the filter off an use your hand to cover the carb inlet.. U can try fully cover then not so much leave space so air can pass thru.. Are u running the stock oil pump or did u plug it ?

I have just assembled one of Taz's 90cc bore kits in the last couple of days, running a stock carb, air filter and exhaust. 30:1 premix with oil pump deleted.

Currently am running an #88 main, stock #35 pilot, needle clip at the lowest notch(needle in highest position), A/F screw approx 1 1/4 turns out and idle adjusted as necessary. Took a few kicks to get it to fire but seems to be running fine currently with these settings

Might not be the exact settings you require but might point you in the right direction ;)

Hey guys, so I have the stock oil pump still hooked up with premix in tank for initial break in. The kit was supplied with a 105 main jet from chopchop himself. This is what he recommends.
