My 86 Spree (pics)

Well here is my spree, sorry the camera has no flash so i brightened them in an editor. Needs a seat cover. I need to fix the gas guage. And i need more power/speed. It goes about 31-32 on a flat road. Next I plan on increasing fuel/air thru the carb. bigger jet. better air filter. What can i expect from this. how much fuel/air can i throw in a stock engine? I'd like to go 40-45mph or more. what will it take?

FYI, without modification to the drivetrain, you wont get much more than 35-40mph because that is about the point where the engine maxes out.

yeh, if you want more than 40mph out of a spree you would have to do some serious mods. such as dio engine swap, tuned exhaust, and much more to make it all work.

Better off sticking to the 30-35mph speed and learning to like it.

ORRRR YOU COULD DO A ENGINE SQUISH, FULLY SHAVE THE PULLY, TRILL OUT THE EXAUST USE A 87 HEAD WITH A DOMED PISTON, PUT A 1985 AERO INTAKE AND CARB ON THE SPREE, STOCK AIRFILTER WITH 3 WHOLES DRILLED IN IT, WIDE BELT, AND A SHOOT SHONEY COIL. I WENT 45+
