Comparable scooters/ interchangeable parts

Hey guys!

I found out tonight a friend of a friend is a big scooter guy. He seemed generally very knowledgeable. He was explaining to me that the engine from my 84 spree was the same as the express or hobbit which are known for being highly upgradable. I was wondering if you guys could offers your insight on this. May make it easier to find more parts.

only Express and Hobbit most are interchangeable, they are all horizontal engine, but not to Spree because Spree are vertical engine.

Ya the hobbit and spree are not really interchangeable but you could swap to a variated version of your motor pretty easy, one out of an aero or later elite would work great and give you 35-40 mph stock w no changes.
