Hey guys, Dio Af34, the previous owner stuffed up and screwed the spark plug in on an angle, now i have found that the spark plug wont go all the way in. The engine starts ok, but would this affect my top speed?
Is there anything i can do to fix this?

Hmm, new head? Tap out the hole in hopes of repairing the spark plug?

I'd pull the head and try re-tapping it... I assume you know how to use a tap with aluminum i.e. with patience?

Stripped threads in aluminum heads is a common problem. Most auto parts houses have kits to repair them consisting of a tool to enlarge the sparkplug hole and tap it for a bushing and bushings of different lengths for thin or thick heads. KD is probably the most economical with a tool and four bushings. After tapping the hole, lubricate the sparkplug, screw the bushing onto the sparkplug, put a thread tightener(locktite) on the bushing threads and screw it into the head.
