Amsoil??? Reviews?

Post by islandbayy »

Hello all, was wondering if anyone had experience with Amsoil's synthetic 2 cycle injection oil?

I met a dealor at the Milwaukee Sports show today, and was thinking about purchasing a case (12qts or so) to see if their was any performance difference. Auctually, wasnt much more expencive then regular Honda Injection oil.

So, any reviews? Comments? Should I even be using their injection oil? Or stick with Honda?

Thanks all!

I believe amsoil is synthetic and i have used it in the past for about two years. To me it seemed harder to tune by plug chop because of the reddish residue it left behind but that is only my experience with amsoil.

So, did you notice any performance improvment? Thats the main reason I'm planning on stocking this oil.

I was a lot less experienced in tuning and tuned differently back then so wouldn't be comparable for me to say it was better or worse. I do use the klotyz R50 now just because i can get it in the gallon bottles at a cheaper cost than just the quarts. Also the klotz smells better when it burns.

I run nothing buy Amsoil in my dirtbike. Good oil, I like it. Doesn't stink like cheap oil when it burns, either.
