Are there any mods out there for an SE50? I have a pretty good setup right now with my 65cc Polini kit, NH80 carb, proma ghost exhaust, variator and some pretty light roller weights. I am getting over 45mph, but I would like to go faster. Are there any gear mods available, and where would I get them?

have you tried tuning the trans a little? ive heard that a stronger compression spring will give you a higher top speed.

Wouldn't that just be the same as lowering the weight of the rollers? Give the engine more revs before reaching the top gear? I have a NH80 spring that I could throw in there.

yea the belt just wouldnt drop down as fast so youd get a better top speed.

OK that makes sense. Still doesn't answer my question. I get pretty much the same top speed with any size weights I have in the variator. I just get there faster with lower weights.

wow man, thanks for posting. that is almost the exact same setup I was looking at if I got this elite:

and with all that only 45mph??

no wonder the dios are so much better.
I've just decided to keep modding my triton instead, more potential.
But as far as getting more speed now, have you thought about porting? Done right it can give you a good boost of power, +3-5mph. and more tranny tunning would help too.

not entirely correct, you just want to run the lightest spring you can get away with ,some run 20% and that kills your belt and power

you can use the dio gears but have to cut the shaft shorter of the gear that sits in the block. the gear i am talking about matches up to the gear that the clutch and bell is attatched to.You also have to use a whole dio gear set. You can't mismatch because on the 87 the front gears are pressed and on the dios the rear gears are pressed.
