hey everyone i have a 86' spree and i just done a minor tuneup on it,new sparkplug"ngk bpr8hsa"new airfilter from honda shop "lightly oiled" new final reduction oil 10w40.heres the prob. when i go to start the scoot it is harder to start after it sits for awhile and while riding, just before i top out rpm it starts to sputter then clears then sputters then clears.after riding for a couple of miles and stop the engine seems to be idling too fast and i notice a funny engine smell. by the way i also used 1 oz of sea foam in the gas tank. any suggestions?

You're leaning out... you have an air intake or vacuum leak somewhere. Stop riding it until you figure out where it is or you'll burn it up...

besides the air intake and the vaccum line that goes to the petcock.where else could a vaccum leak be found.I have quick ties on the hose that goes from the petcock to the intake.should i remove those and replace with clamps.also my scoot fell over today onto its left side while it was idling,it didnt die or anything but it was grinding at the kickstart is that normal.and do you think it did any damage to anything.?

On the high speed miss: Check you plug color (read up on plug chop) to see if it's bright white. That means lean running. Should be brown. You've listed the common air points. Also could be a spark plug / plug wire issue (loose) or fuel (starving for fuel due to choked fuel filter.)
I doubt you hurt it much... 2 stokes aren't picky about orientation.
