85 spree will not shut off using kill switch or key. It will also start with the kill switch in the stop position. The switch appears to be functioning properly and wires are intact. The ignition seems to be working also. I put a voltmeter on it, it dropped voltage when I turned it to off position. So I thought maybe a bad ground. I checked all ground wires, they appear good also. Where to go now??
I’m at a loss. Anyone else seen this condition?

The bl/w wire comes off ignition and goes to start/stop button. Then it goes to CDI to energize it. If CDI is still operational when red button is switched to STOP and/or ignition is switched off....your poblem lies in the bl/w wire. Check that the previous owner didnt bypass this wire and connect direct CDI to battery.
