yup im gettin my old project back out again. i cant get it to start. ive cleaned the carb many times its getting fuel and spark and has practicaly bran new rings in it. maby like 50 miles on em but i just cant get it to start.
run open carb, suck on the air hose so the petcock opens and floods your bowl with fuel. Then drain your carb using the drain screw. Now flood the bowl again. Since you now have fresh fuel in the system and hopefully no airbubbles you should be good. Is the switch on Run and key on... well obviously if you have spark. 
Now some ppl will flame me for this, but get a can of starting fluid and spray half a second directly into the carb, then kick it and it will fire up. Hold WOT until it starts running off fuel instead of starting vapour. It won't idle without an airbox... or if you are crafty you can use your hand over the carb, allowing a small about of air velocity through your fingers and you'll be able to idle it that way. My scoot would not start with the airbox attached after my mods. It just choked.
