well im tring to get my blinkers to work, and aint havin any luck. i took the head light/ speedo housing apart. the only wires i can find that aint hooked up to anything is a clip that has 3 wires. black, gray, green. i found a spare blinker clicker and it has 3 wires. orange, blue, green. i know i need the clicker hooked up in order for them to blink. any ideas on what to try? cant be that difficult..............well except for me.

A standard $3 clicker from Murrays will work.

Usually problems come from dead bulbs.

did you try replacing all the bulbs first, usually whats wrong

all bulbs are fine. blinkers dont work?? the wires are hooked up from the handle bar switch. i have a blinker clicker. i dont know where it hooks up to? there is a black clip with 3 wires. black, gray, green that isnt hooked up to anything. i need to know what this clip is for. its a 87 wiring harness. it is located under the speedometer by the handlebars. any ideas would help.

under the speedo cover there is a plastic ring that holds a thermal flasher. It looks like a 2" canister with a metal ring around the top. The bottom side of that canister is where the 3 wire plug connects to. Someone could have salvaged yours because they are like $70 new from Honda. If you have an empty plastic ring under your speedo that looks like a small cup holder then you're missing your clicker.

sweet!!! could i splice in a clicker that has the orange/ blue/ green wires in to the black clip?? if so.....what colors? the black clip has black/green/and gray. thanks for you help!!!

harness is fried.........

can anyone tell me by splicing in the 86 blinker clicker to the 87 wiring harness black clip if the blinkers will work at all?
