Has anyone tried running a straight pipe exhaust, without muffler or expansion chamber?
If so, I'd love to have info on it.
Just curious.

it wont run worth s*** and you risk smearing the piston
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

yea, with no back pressure, it wont run very well, and u will score up the the piston skirts, and cylinder.

it CAN SOMETIMES my dad has a mcchollock chainsaw that has been running 10 years without ANY kind of exaust system and it is working fine

my dad has one of those chain saws too, old as *. fully aluminum and yellow. my dad it from a garage sale before me and my sister were born.
