Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

Tried jumping the bike off with cables due to bad battery and no kickstarter. Normally this would work, however the starter engages without the brake lever or start button pushed. The fuse looks fine and everything else worked fine prior. Recently had the dead starter and found the broken wire close to the loop end and fixed that. Any ideas? I thought maybe it is the starter button is fried but then the brake lever control would also need to be fried too which seems odd.

Wires might be crossed or ignition switch may be compromised?

I’m wondering if the starter button, ignition or brake switches have gone bad somehow. Worked fine before though so not sure.
