Hello!
First of all, sorry for my bad english!
I have a Honda AF35 49cc scooter and when i try to start (with cold engine) the scooter wont turn on and run, except i pull the throttle.
When it started and i release the throttle its stall immediately, but if i hold throttle for 1 or 2 minutes then the idle is ok.
If the engine is warm everything is ok, i can easily start the scooter and wont stall.
The parts i changed:
- new carburetor (aftermarket)
- new by-starter (i checked it works, after 5 mins the pin going out)
- new pump assy (fuel)
- new pump lines, pipes
- new air filter
- new spark
The things is checked:
- spark is ok
- reed valve is ok
air / fuel screw: 2 turn out
idle screw: 2 turn out
Honda AF35 only start if i pull throttle

Re: Honda AF35 only start if i pull throttle
If you can, use original carburetor after good cleaning and properly working with correct jetting. If idle air screw is 2 turns out, it means your jet is too big. Should be 1 turn out and good idle. It not difficult to find correct size idle jet. #35 should be it. If you use bigger carburetor than original size then you got problem. Maybe give more info?

Re: Honda AF35 only start if i pull throttle
Greetings:
The aftermarket carb on my own AF16 also behaved differently from the stock PA Keihin, only mine won't start without throttle when the engine is WARM. Bones gave good advice on trying the cleaned-up stock carb, the clones just never seem to work quite as well.
