Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

Before I can even try this I still have to get my spree running.. but here is my idea..

I have a smog pump off of a mustang 5.0, im thinking about trying to use it as a supercharger. Anyone here seen this done, or heard anything about it?

I'm still working out all the details but just lookin for some advice.

A supercharger in your Spree will not generate much additional pressure in the cylinder. The exhaust port is open longer than the intake. Extra air blown in, will blow out the exhaust.

All the research I did on super/turbo charging 2 strokes, in summary:

1) It's complicated and requires a lot of tuning, much more than 4 stroke.
2) It doesn't do as much as a properly built expansion pipe.

Most of these observations were made from work on 2-stroke race sleds, by guys with a lot more time than me on their hands.

Unless you can meter both fuel & oil to match forget about it, aprillia made a efi scoot but a bore kit could not be installed unless the computer was modded, several attempts were made were tried by a dealer i know and all engines blew!
