1986 Iowa spree

My spree only goes 15 mph? What are the settings for the carb fuel, and the air mixture screw. This moped is very sensitive, and now I cant start it. Where should I be looking?

pull your muffler off and look in the cylinder exhaust port. it might be plugged up with carbon. if the exhaust gas cant get out, defenetly aint going to have any power. 8)

on most of my sprees, ive always turned the fuel/air mixture screw all the way in, then back it out 1 and a half to almost 2. when u get your scoot goin, take it around the block a couple times then come back and shut the engine off right away. pull out your spark plug and see what color it is. black is way to rich. gray is to lean. u want a nice tan colored brown. keep us up to date.

since its an IOWA while you have the muffler off grind out the restriction in it and throw the muffler in a campfire till its red hot take it out and let it cool slowly then blast the garden hose down there to clean out all of the carbon
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.
