Fuel Jet Question

My spree is still doing the same thing it has been doing, flooding when you give more than half throttle, I looked at my jet and it appears to be slightly marred up on the inside as though someone had used something metal to clean it. Could this be part of my problem? Because I already ordered one. a 65.

Are you sure it's flooding (spit/sputter) or is it running lean (smooth but no power)?
The main jet can cause a flooding condition, but if it's a #65 the nicks or whatever would have to be pretty big. As always, the use of a toothpick is the hardest material you ever want to use for cleaning the jet. Actually, the main jet should be removed and soaked, never picked at.
Also, check the float level. Keep us informed.

I have adjusted the screws every possible way, cleaned the carb with cleaner and compressed air, the float and everything work just fine, I have an air filter and it is closed up tight.
When you give it a touch of throttle it will go and get up to 30mph.
If you give it full throttle at any time it will not accelerate. just dies.
ideas?

I'm having the same problem.

Seems like a fuel problem.. to me, I checked the plug.. it always seems a bit wet.

I've set the air/fuel screw, and cleaned the carb, etc... nothing seems to change.

I'm wondering if the jet helped you?

The jet fixed the problem for me.

You must see light through the jet. If you are not sure if you see light or not, get a #65 jet.. the opening is enormous compared to how my old one looked.

Well, I guess I'll give that a try. :)
