I'm sure this has been asked many times, but I couldn't find an answer in the search feature. I am working on a Spree basket case, A friend had it running last year but the fuel tank leaked. I have repaired the tank and have it back together, now how do I get fuel to the carb, does it have to be primed? I believe I have every thing hooked up correctly, have spark and air filter is clean.
Also to introduce myself, Name is Daryl, I'm 49years old for a few more months, make my living as an artist, primarily but not exclusively as a blacksmith. The Spree is for my son, but I have a feeling it will soon become my daughter's. My bikes are a 1968 Honda CT90 (daily rider) and a 1967 Yamaha YR1, for those unfamiliar with the YR1 it was Yamaha's first 350 Twin.
I thank you in advance, hopefully I won't have too many dumb questions for you, and maybe I can return the help some day
Cheers!
Daryl

There is a device called a fuel tap on the bottom of the gas tank that regulates if the fuel is flowing or not. There is a supply line that goes to the carb and another line that attaches to the intake manifold. Pull off the one from the intake manifold and suck on it. The fuel should flow out of the supply line into the carb when doing this.

YTX4LB Battery
If you have a Wal-Mart up there, this shouldn't run more than $39.00.
Also, check for local battery distributors- my favourite is East Penn/Deka.
East Penn/Deka has dealers /distributors up north:

I got one for my Spree from their place down here- $28.00, includes a 90 day warranty and the acid is in a sealed container for easy filling of the battery. In fact, I had my Spree running for maybe 2 days, and whatever it did- literally killed the battery- it had 4.78 volts left, and would bot accept a charger. so, I took it back, and they gave me a new one- said it could be a bad cell, no worries.

Thanks Doc
I'm going to stop a Wally World tonight. I'm also going to pick up an another new plug.
So far I've had it fire twice and now nothing, I figured that I had found the problem as the air box was slightly off the carb, even though was in line and looked right. Now for the life of me I can't get it to fire, even with a bit of gas in the cylinder.
If anyone has anymore suggestions I would appreciate it
Thanks Daryl
