kickstart 84 aero 50

anyone ever install/swap one of these?

I opened up the metal cover that hides the drive belt and
found none of the kickstart assembly. (was hoping would just
need to replace the part ya kick!)

anyone have any tips on replacing these or being able to tell
if it's totally 'shot' ?

I'm guessing i'll have to buy a whole used engine to replace it...

any advice appreciated.

actually met randy and some of the boys from scooter therapy at
our scooter club rally in madison a couple years ago.
