Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

I looked at a 85 spree today and when you shut it off and go to start it it wont start up unless you play with somthing i didnt see the guy was meesing with the choke i think and after about 4 seconds it would start and would keep doing it he told me it was the bystarter is that what it is? or somthing else

also if you let it idle for about a minute or 2 it will idle down and eventualy stall would that be caused by the bystarter and also does the electric start on those always sound like a screaching noise sorry im new at these things im a boat guy
