Only starts when jumped

With a good battery my honda spree will not start unless I have it jumped by my car battery. Obviously this means a bigger battery would fix the problem but is there anything else I can do? The stock size battery cranks the motor at a decent rate for a good duration of time. I don't really want to have a car battery strapped onto my luggae rack of my spree unless I have to. Any ideas?

Starter relay is worn out.

FYI: with just the stock battery connected w/o a jump it will turn over at a decent rate, but still won't start.

Double check your battery connections on stock battery to make sure there is a good solid connection. Also check wires that lead to each terminal to make sure there is no split or frayed wires. If all that checks out it could possibly be a bad rectifier or alternator. Charge your stock battery with a small motorcyle battery charger just to make sure it is fully charged.

Top speed is currently 26 MPH, it has about 5600 miles on it.... I need to look into getting a new rectifier? A guy at a shop said a stator? I have no idea, but the thing is just sitting right now so I need to figure this all out.....

what type of compression do you have? if your rings are getting worn to bad or shoot it gets hard to start.
when i needed rings i could hold the starter for a hour and it would spin great but not enough. i could kick start it first try because when i kicked it, it would spin the hair more it needed.

heres how to change your rings
your looking about 30$ but it will run a * of allot better. but hey check your compression, if your compression is low check your rings. there should be only one opening and it should be the same thickness all the way around.
if they look bad replace them.
