Kick Start

I decided to start a new topic because my problem has changed from the centrifugal clutch to the kick start. I actually have two questions:
1) Can you jump start a Honda Sky/Spree/Eve? How do you do that?
2) What gears should the kick start move? Because right now the kick start is jammed and does not work as it used to. Any tips would be helpful
Seriously, I have received some amazing help on these boards so far so I just want to give a huge thank you. I promise once I get this running I will just give a run down on what I did so anyone else with these problems in the future will be able to fix them also.

If its jammed just take it out completly and use the electric start.
Sounds like a good idea

I know it definitely might come to this. However, can I get some ideas about an electric start.
Either my battery does not hold a charge or the alternator does not charge it up when I was able to run my scooter because everything electric on my Sky/Spree/Eve is dead.
How do you jump start a Spree?

You cant push start it if thats what you were thinking. Get some jumper cables and hook it up to a car.
That's what I'm talking about

So thus in the same way I jump a car, I can jump start my scooter. It seems so intense. Has anyone done this? Did it work?

yeah i have jump started my elite before tons of times. a far warning it kills the battery life. my battery was like 1 month old. i jump started it several times when i was working on it. now my battery barely holds a charge.
but yeah it will work.

It will not kill your battery. You are putting the same amount of voltage to your spree battery as your car. When you hit the starter it will draw from the car only the amount of Amps required to crank it over. If you leave the cables on and try to let it charge the spree battery fully you might shorten its life a little but not much.

I've jump started mine off of my car a few times and have had no problems. However, you have to be slightly more careful when starting it. The car battery is huge compared to the Spree's battery, and it puts out a lot more amps. This will make it the Spree's starter turn over like a bat out of *. It usually starts quickly because of this, but if it takes more than a few seconds, you might want to let the starter cool down so you don't fry it.
I've also gotten good results using a battery charger/booster to start it, and while using a battery powered jump starter thing when the battery was low.
Thanks!
