84-85 Spree carburetor float needle same as '86?
So, I'm trying to find a new carb needle valve for my girlfriend's 86 Spree, and I finally found something but it says "NQ-50 float needle (84-85)" and they don't offer one for an '86, so I'm wondering if it'll still work. Ideas? Good ol' fashioned experience? Thanks a lot!
Carb.
Yes, that will work.
I've rebuilt hundreds of spree carbs and the needles are interchangeable.
Be sure to check the float level as well.
Carbs have to be whistle clean to run well.
Particles as small as an eye lash can clog some of the mixture ports inside any of the 3 jets.
There are over a dozen small ports, that mix the air-fuel, to make the carb function at different temperatures and varied rpm.
This can only be accomplished by through cleaning.
