Ultra Super Colossal Barn Find

Post by GIJoeBob »

A few towns over I found a friend who repairs motorcycles and ATVs and he let me pick through his parts bin-

I forgot to get a picture of the barn full of engines.

I picked these up today-

I think this is a Sachs Suburban. I am not sure of the year just yet.

A couple more Sprees in various states of disrepair (with one totally intact seat!).

There were other scoots and bikes out there that I may go back and get - a Honda Express, a couple Honda Express SRs, a Yamaha Chappy, lots of Honda CT90s, etc.

I was hoping to find a Honda Express II or two in order to find parts for mine-

Does anyone know if the engine parts of the Express, Express II and the Express SR are interchangeable?

Nice lil salvage yard you found there. Honda Express are the Same from 77-80. 81's share some parts but have 2-speed motors. SR Express shares nothing at all, its a different animal. Might share a few parts with Urban or maybe even early Spree or Aero. I need the headlight out of that SR express if its any good. Let me know if you go back.

No Elites. There was a Yamaha something-er-other but I didn't get the model. It was missing a lot of parts. The fairing looked like a Honda Aero fairing.

yahama made 2 major mopeds in the states. Jogs and Razz.
the razz was much like a spree in the fact that it could not be made fast.
However the jog's are amazingly fast and can out run any elite -mod for mod-

Razzes are nothing big, but if that is a yamaha jog out there its one of the faster mopeds motors there is.
(if you need a better view of a yamaha jog i have a 360 video in my sig.)
