Tool Tip - Make your wrenches easier to identify

If you have wrenches with the traditional stamped markings (not the cool, new fancy laser etching) then you know that it can be hard to tell one wrench from another.
I take black crayon and rub it into the number indentation and then wipe off the residue to make each wrench have an easy to read black number.
Here is a comparison of a plain wrench and one with the crayon-

Now that is a good solid tip, I was thinking permanent marker, which do you think will hold better?

Have just done it to mine with a permanent marker (wiped excess off quick

)
works a treat!

have just been pulling the rear beam off one of the Golfs in the rain and now i've got green hands from the marker running...'permanent' my *,
