12 bar on a spree?
Has anyone done it? Figured since they cant be modded with the stock engine, it would make a decent little stunter, just wonderin if it has been done and if so how did you mount it to the scooter?

I guess im not trying hard enough.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.
A spree would be a ok stunting bike (motor wise). Allot of stunt scooters have weaker engines, so all there stuff is smooth and not all spazzy when you tap the gas.
A spree would make a bad stunt bike...
-its old
-Body panels cost a ton(if you can find them)
-Skinny tires (the fatter the tires the better for circle wheelies)
-No disk brakes for stoppies.
Plus the lack of frame really gives you no room to add 'Sliders' and a 12o-clock bar. And besides, even if you could stand a spree up 12o-clock the tire hugs the body to much. getting it back down would be hard.

My spree can wheelie fairly easily, even at a decent speed just let off for a second, pin it and pull back and it will come right up, and will hold it for a good while too. Putting the wheelie down is easy from a 12, just hit the back brakes, and if you still have any forward momentum the brake will bring the front end down. I agree that it being an older bike, would not make the best stunt bike, but i think that it being light, and peppy, it would make a decent stunter. Believe me if I could afford it I would get an aprillia or similar, i borrowed one from the shop I used to work at, and it was a great machine, its just right now, this is all I have, and I am into the stunting scene. Disc brakes can be modded to fit eventally, or some sort of a front wheel swap can be done in time if needed, so thats not a big issue. I just wanted to see if it had been done before so I could get some ideas. I guess I will have to wing it and see how it goes. Ill let you know what I come up with.
I wasnt trying to argue with you dac, i agree with you 100%, but i just like to be different

SonicJay is the guys name! i was trying to find one of his videos to post a link. but i couldn't remember it lol.
And dont worry about me ever 'snapping' and yelling and freaking out. When i talk to someone on here its a discussion not a argument.
I see what you are saying. I have some plains for my 92 elite for this summer
but im going to keep that under wraps till its done. Im having the same problems as a listed for the spree. But much like you said, its all i got.
The only real difference is the frame. The frame on the spree gives you no room to add stuff (it seems). But hey, If you are going to go for it, Do it man. Just make sure you get allot of pictures.
If you are into the stunting seen. Check out http://www.StuntBase.com Its a site all about scooter stunting (some crotch rocket stuff also). There isn't allot of people on the site who post allot. But there is tons of information on setting up your stunt bike.
They also TONS of videos of people stunting these scooters to the max. I wish i had some of the talent these guys have.

Yeah, he was one reason I thought a spree would have some potential for stunting. I think with some welding it can be done, i will take a look into it beforehand to see if theres a way to make a bolt on bar. I have always been into the stunting scene, the local powersports store here has a thing in the summer called x night, streetbike,50,atv, whatever you want to stunt you can pretty much, but I have never had a moped that would be capable, ive had dirtbikes and atv's but they arent road legal, and my old 03 tomos sprint wouldnt wheelie past 10 without standin on the rear pegs. If I find it can be done, I will definately post pics, and video of it in action. Thanks for the other link aswell, Ill check it out, and yeah these guys have talent and some nuts too, idk if i will ever be that good, but im gonna try lol.

Im going to be honest, if i was over in europe i would give my dio away. Yamahas from europe are amazing,i mean, the Aerox R. Come on, dios are awesome yes, but the Aerox R is an amazing looking bike, and just as mod able.
Wanyder, Vale, Bubi, those guys live stunt. They are amazing in everything they do.

BTW-here is the final 20minute long version of that video. (281mb)
If your even slightly into stunting, then this video will hold your interest the hole time.
