Got to walmart and spend $15 on a 99mph bicycle speedo.

Hey Kenny, are you sure those work?
On an old bicycle i had, had one of those. It worked by counting the number times the tire goes around. ( like a little magnet system type deal. ) i have yet to try one myself. but i was really plaining on it. you think it will work?

It should, I used to have one, all you did was mount the magnet and pickup and set the computer for the right distance between the magnet and axle. Mounting the magnet is gonna be different, but any tinkerer should have something functional by the end of the day.

That will work and its cheap. Here is a Ebay seller that sells Honda speedo's BUT they are in KPH, he does not have them in MPH. 88kph = 55mph, 104 kph is 65mph and 120 kph is 75 mph. The speedo's are nice, some have digital tach as well. Here is a link

A digital bike speedo is cheaper.

that thing is for the DIO bike. not the elite.
See, elites have the DIO motor (really good). but a DIO is another moped all together. Those would not fit/work on the elite.

U sure Dillan? Heck, I was gonna order one, gonna take a close look at my speedo. I know the guys at VT have one for our bikes, or at least I think they do.
Just checked, Yup different, won't fit, plastic is different, that sucks. Gonna email VT and see if they have something as well as the ebay seller and see if he has one for the elite.
Gonna also look on ebay and see what bike speedo's they have. I think the cheapest way will be to get a bike speedo and mod it.
Well, they have a nice red night lit LCD bike speedo, can be moded I am sure. Anyway, I saw some Honda CT70 speedometers. The CT70 has the same tire as ours 10" the brake system looks the same but the 1970 to 1979 goes to 70 mph. If ts justa gear change we could maybe swap gears on the hub or maybe try and mod a CT 70 speedo to our Sr50's. I would like a nice speedo and I am dissapointed that no one makes one as I have yet found one.
