Advance the timing

Post by 01silverado »

Does anybody ever advance the timing on their scooters? I know on go-karts people will actually advance the flywheel (piece w/ the magnet) so the magneto will spark sooner or later. Anybody done this? I tried searching but found nothing.

There are after market CDI boxes that allow you to play with timing. You can also oval out the pickup mounting holes and move the pickup around to change it.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.
