wet spark plug

Post by cpiunno »

What does it mean when I put a new spark plug in, I am able to run at WOT for only about 15 seconds and then it will die if I try to give it any gas (it will still idle ok.) Pulled the plug and it's soaked with oil/fuel. Tried it again, same thing happened.

Note: Bike ran perfectly before I put on aftermarket filter and ported intake manifold. I would think this would make it run lean, though.

Also, I sprayed Mopar Combusion Chamber Cleaner in the intake, is it possible I sprayed too much too quick and damaged something?

It's a brand new air filter. I suppose it could be faulty.

Check that the lid is not clogged up.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.
