kick starter problem

i was having trouble keeping the engine running,i found out i needed a new fuel valve (the one located beneath the tank) after installing this i pushed down a couple times to start engine and the kick starter hung up and now it will not go down.do i need to pull the side cover off and look inside? any help would be greatly appreciated.

try loostebing the bolts and pull cover out a little, it should snap back. this could be a good indication u will be buying some new kickstart parts in the future tho.

I just had that problem. The spring was stuck because the retaining clip for the kickstart had come loose. Open it up and you should be able to reset it. assuming the gears are in good shape. Dont for get to lube while you're in there!

not too much. be careful none of that crap gets on the belt/clutch.
