What do I look for when finding a "belt"?

Post by HondaSky »

Sometimes what I fail in when searching for things is the right terminology. Basically, I need to buy a new belt. The belt that drives the centrifugal clutch. I have had some success in searching BUT I have some specific needs.

First of all, I do not drive a Honda Spree or Elite... it's a Sky. This thing only existed in Southeast Asia, Russia, and Japan during the early 80s. So basically, I think my best chance is finding a belt that just fits my specifications.

So I'm just putting this out there. I need some help in my search. A Honda Spree belt does not fit at all. Maybe the Elite belt will fit. Does anyone know the circumference and width of the Elite belt?

Any good advice with how to go about this search?
Seriously, what would I do without message boards.

Do you have the old belt? If so, take it to an auto parts store and get the closest thing you can find to it. Otherwise use a piece of rope to measure approximately how big the belt needs to be.

this is his bike. Its like a spree with different back panels. They go for allot down in hawaii. (better then a spree for a dio conversion because of the openness. )
