Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

1. kickstart sticks about halfway down, have to kick it opposite way to get it back up. ???

2. elec start will only work after spree has been running for a while-works great then actually. but absolutely won't start cold off the elec start.

can anyone help me out?

kickstart worn out. sounds like batt is on its way out. bike charges batt. thats why it starts warm.

Check Large ground wire from battery to starter for resistance with battery hooked up. Mine was 46 ohms which would only give my starter about 0.25 amps to turn over, only turned over with spark plug removed. Replaced wire, and now turns over with no problem.
