Hello,
I was wondering if someone out there can help me figure out how to install new clutch shoes on my 1985 Spree. In the manual, it calls for some sort of clutch compressor tool. Has anyone changed the clutch shoes without this tool. I went to Murrays and they had no idea what I was talking about. Also, there is a huge nut that must be taken off to get inside the clutch. How do I get it off? Murrays does not have a socket that big. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Its some odd impossible to get metric size but a 1.5" works fine. You dont need the comp tool if you get somebody to hold the clutch down while you remove the big bolt(big belt tensioner spring under there).
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.
