So the service guy at a shop notorious for bad business(i know, i know) says that i need a new intake manifold.
So i don't have much experience 'under the hood' as they say...so i turn to you guys
my bike:
Elite SR50
-72cc Motor Kit (Malossi)
-Carbon Race Reeds
-Carb Kit, 28mm
-Varator Kit
-Belt
-High End Gear Kit
-Heavy Duty Clutch Springs
-Varator Spring Upgrade
-Carb Filter Kit
-Clutch Weights
is the manifold, given the mods, going to be any different than stock? should i just buy it online? How long should this take, in terms of labor hrs.? and..should I just do it myself(limited tool box)?
Intake manifold. what matters?

when you got the carb kit did it come with in intake?

chances are that if you have a 28mm carb, there is no way you are running the stock intake.
you will need a performance intake. I say call up the guys at VTCycles. 808-593-7733 and take to them.
i really dont know how an intake could go bad. Maybe the reeds but i dont get it.
as for working on it. is super easy.
