ive been waiting for over 2 weeks for this new bearing and i thought i had it all figured out. I thought youd just get the crank set into the cases and start threading the bolts in and it would just press it self together.

Well i am having super problems with it. I cant seem to get it to tap more than about 1/64" into each side of the case. And i am afraid if i try to thread it together like i thought then i will just strip the case.
I sanded each slot on the case smooth with 360 sand paper so there are no nicks or burrs. I also used some GN2 to help them slide easier. i dont wanna wreck anything, and i cant figure it out!

HOW DO YOU PUT THIS BACK TOGETHER??

okay i figured out that i was supposed to press the bearings into the case first. got that done.

but now that the crank is in the case, if i tighten the 4 bolts around the bearing that hold the 2 halfs together more than finger tight the crank becomes almost impossible to spin.

whatd i do wrong.

What did you do wrong, why would it not turn? I'm about to do this to my spree and I'm pretty nervous. One of the bearings is stuck on the crank, should I try to remove it so that I can press it into the case? Back to the search function...
