Any lubricants in the drive belt compartment (Spree)?

I am replacing my drive belt on an 85 Spree and am not sure if I need to put any oil/lubricant on the parts. It was extremely filthy so I cleaned everything out with brake fluid. Now all the parts are completely dry. Am I suppose to lubricate the starter gears with anything (By starter gears I mean those sprocket looking things)?

Page 8-14 in the service manual: "Apply grease to each sliding portion and install the pinion in the reverse order of removal".

Don't lubricate any of the drive belt surfaces.

ya, it sounds like you just grease all the moving parts, but no oil

Starter gears get a light coat, crank should have a light cot for anit seize. If you pulling the clutch apart grease any moving parts, just do it lightly so it doesnt fly onto the drum and get in the pads.
