High Mileage

Post by Grandpa »

I'd like to hear of the highest mileage achieved on a Spree without having the engine rebuilt.

I'll start it off although I don't think it's that high.

2445, then a ring broke.

Im at 3153.8 and running strong.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

3550 miles on an original engine, and it still runs strong!

Pff, im at 8289.

I know the motor was replaced at one time about 4 years ago with another old original motor. My friend daily drove it for about 4 years, so he racked em up.

Those miles are iimpressive. Gives me hope.

With 10,000 on the Elite perhaps longevity is better with that model.

I've thought about going to a Honda dealer and buying a new scotter. A friend recently bought one, don't know the model, but she said the sticker price was $1999 and she took one with all the options, final price was around $3000. I dunno what options you'd get on a scooter .... power windows, power door locks and air conditioning perhaps.....lol.
