rear tire

Post by lowderthanever »

I bought a front wheel and tire off ebay for my spree. The wheel I purchased was off of an Elite, so of coarse it would not work. The wheel has a really nice 3.00 x 10 tire on it. Can I use this tire on the rear of my spree? The only reason I want to use it, is that the current rear tire is a "Cheng Shin" chinese tire that I simply don't trust for 14 mile round trips to and from work.
Thanks in advance for all opinions and input.

Might have clearance issues and will hurt take off and add to top speed. If the chen shin is dot approved you have nothing to worry about.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

I would upgrade to anything besides the Chengshin.. I know they're decent but just didn't have real good luck with it on my Spree when a brand new one blew out on me at 20mph within a weeks worth of riding

I've seen a 3.0 rear clear on a Spree, should fit, I'd try it
projects galore :nerd:

I paid 6 dollars a tire, brand new at the local dealer. Im not sure on the brand, but for the whopping 28 mph and the mile it takes to get it there, Im not worried about quality..I dont ride it in the rain so wet riding is not a concern.
